  • According to UNICEF, one million children are trafficked every year, around the world.

  • 600,000 - 800,000 adults are trafficked every year, around the world, according to an estimate by the U.S. Government.

  • Traffickers make a profit of US$8 million each year , according to the United Nations.

TRAFFICKING IS ILLEGAL IN JAMAICA AND MOST OTHER COUNTRIES.
Trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. The United Nations has declared that trafficking in persons is a violation of their human rights.
